   The first Amiga was called the "1000" It was released in 1985. It came
with 256 K & an optional memory card upgrade to push you up to 512K.
Workbench 1.2 actually came much later in its life. There was no
harddrive. My first Amiga Harddrive came in '86. It was an external Supra
33 meg harddrive that cost $999.00.  You should always hang onto at least
a few of your old computer mags, its a shock to check out old prices.

   The 1000 certainly sounds primitive now, but it was lightyears ahead
of its time in graphics at the time of its release.
